Absolutely Snailing Leadership

Leaders, are you as adaptable as a brown-lipped snail? 

Using the same basic ingredients with a little bit more of this and a little bit less of that, this European marvel can create five different slimes, each suited for a different purpose:

·      a sticky/slippery one for locomotion, 

·      a foam one for washing away pests,

·      a gluey immobilizing one if they won’t go away, 

·      an adhesive one that allows them to cling to all surfaces at all angles, and 

·      a protective one to seal themselves in their shell for the winter.

Amazing, huh? And you just thought a mucus was a mucus was a mucus. 

So, the question I have for you is: Do you combine your own ingredients even half as well to meet your own challenges? Or do you need to try new combinations and new ingredients? 

To compete against workplace snails and your own work-complacent self, you’ve got to adapt. Fortunately, you have an evolutionary advantage over our brown-lipped friend. You can add to your skillset. So do it today and make sure all your slime is benign.
